Terms of service

These terms govern your use of HostPal Invest. By creating an account or buying a report, you agree to them. We've kept them deliberately short and direct.

1. What we provide

HostPal Invest produces investment reports for short-term-rental properties. Each report combines real market data (listings, occupancy, pricing) with AI-generated analysis. Reports are delivered as a web page (and downloadable PDF where supported).

2. What you're paying for

A one-time payment buys you one reportat the tier you selected. Reports stay accessible from your dashboard indefinitely — you don't pay a subscription.

Generation typically takes 30–90 seconds. If it takes longer than 15 minutes or fails, the system will email you when it's ready — your purchase is not lost.

3. What our reports are NOT

Reports are analysis, not advice. We do not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. We don't know your personal circumstances, risk tolerance, or full financial picture. Any decision you make based on a report is your own.

Specifically, you should not interpret any report as:

• A recommendation to buy or sell a specific property
• A guarantee of future rental income, occupancy, or yield
• A substitute for professional financial advice
• A substitute for legal or planning-permission advice in your jurisdiction

Property markets are volatile. Regulations change. Numbers in our reports are estimates based on historical data — they can and will diverge from reality.

4. Refunds

We refund within 14 days, no questions asked, if:

• The report failed to generate at all (our fault)
• The report is for the wrong city/address (data issue we can't fix)
• You change your mind before opening the report

Once you've opened a successfully-generated report, we generally can't refund — you've consumed the product. We'll still help you if the data is clearly wrong; email [email protected].

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, automate, or systematically download reports beyond normal use
• Re-sell, republish, or distribute report content without our written permission
• Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm third parties
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or attempt to replicate the methodology
• Submit false payment information or chargebacks in bad faith

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules. Repeated chargebacks may also result in permanent suspension.

6. Your content

Addresses, polygons, and notes you submit remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to process them for the purpose of generating reports. We don't use your submissions to train models.

7. Our content

Reports are licensed to you for personal or single-business use. You may share screenshots/excerpts with advisors and family. You may NOT re-publish reports on a public website or include them in a saleable product without our written permission.

8. Pricing + changes

Prices are shown on the pricing pagein GBP. We reserve the right to change prices for future purchases. Any report you've already paid for stays accessible at the price you paid.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance is rare and announced where possible. We don't offer SLAs unless explicitly contracted (enterprise customers should email us).

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability we can't legally limit (fraud, death/injury, etc.). Within those limits:

• Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• We're not liable for indirect or consequential loss (lost profits, investment losses, lost data) — see clause 3.

11. Account termination

You can delete your account anytime from the dashboard or by emailing [email protected]. We'll delete your personal data within 30 days (some payment records we're legally required to keep — see privacy policy).

We can terminate accounts that breach these terms (clause 5). We'll refund any unconsumed credit when we do.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to registered users. Continued use after the update means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. UK and EU consumers retain any statutory rights this clause can't override.
